Do you know which nonprofit to donate to this Giving Challenge?

On Sept. 20 at noon, the opportunity for everyone to be a philanthropist by donating to nonprofits serving Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte and Desoto counties kicks off.

For many nonprofits, this 24-hour giving marathon is the single most important fundraiser they depend on.

Since 2012, the Giving Challenge has enabled donors to provide more than $15 million in funding, benefiting everything from coral restoration to homelessness.

This year, 559 nonprofits are participating. And as an organization focused on early childhood learning, we’ve rounded up some that align with this mission to help you choose how to spread the love.

Don’t worry about being picky, all of them ultimately help kids fulfill their potential and every bit makes an impact since donations will be matched by The Patterson Foundation– 2:1 for new donors and 1:1 for returning donors.
